In order to make the maintenance of hand pump simpler and convenient at village level by relatively unskilled labour with out the use of any hoisting equipment, standard Mark II  design has been suitably, modified.

a)        Cylinder design modified to have extractable plunger and foot valves. Cylinder is having an open top which is connected to larger diameter  rise pipe of 65 mm N.B.
For change of seals or valve components, plunger is lowered and connected to foot valve by screwing male and female couplers. The valves are then pulled out with the help of connecting rods without removing the riser pipes and cylinder body.

b)       Riser pipe used is 65 mm N.B.X 3 Mtrs long G.I. Medium with socket at one end.

c)        Water tank is modified to have a socket to suit 65 mm N.B. pipe.  

d)      This pump is suitable for installations upto approx. 45 Meters.
